Upon graduating from university, I decided I wanted to make an impact on the world that would be a net-positive and give back some of the rich experiences I have been so lucky to have enjoyed. I decided that my best route to do this would be via education. I always looked for new ways to grow and discovered instructional design as a way to step beyond the classroom and impact an even wider audience, particularly in recent years with the growth and development of eLearning. I have actually been involved in developing and delivering eLearning for more than four years now and it has been an exciting chapter in my life and afforded me new challenges to grow and explore.

As of now, I have lived and/or worked in six different countries on four different continents. I find unity in diversity - the ways in which humans are the same, including the motivations that drive us to grow and succeed. I am adaptable and have had to learn new languages and cultures on the fly, often without any support on the ground. My travels and experiences have also taught me to be flexible and to learn - every person and experience has something to teach if we know how to listen.

I have many hobbies and passions. Anyone who knows me will vouch for my die-hard love of the Atlanta Braves baseball team and Jimi Hendrix (Hendrix is my first-born son's middle name). I also enjoy taking meditation retreats, hiking in nature, playing various sports for exercise and enjoyment, and spending quality time with my friends, family, and pets.
